Client was accused of embezzlement of over $300,000 by her employer’s insurer. The insurance company’s fraud unit launched an internal investigation against our client. With our representation, client never faced repercussions from the internal investigation and no criminal charges were ever filed.

The client was charged with domestic violence and criminal threats. After a jury trial, we obtained a Not Guilty verdict for the client on both charges.

Client was facing a workplace violence restraining order (WVRO) filed by a multi-billion dollar corporation’s big law firm. The Orange County Police also filed a gun violence restraining order against the client, in addition to conducting a criminal investigation related to the allegations in the WVRO. We obtained dismissals of both restraining orders. The client was never charged criminally related to these accusations.

Client was charged with driving under the influence of marijuana. After requesting additional discovery from the prosecutor’s forensic expert, we got the case dismissed due to only waste THC found in the client’s blood.

Client charged with stealing over $475,000 from his employer. Client also sued in civil court by his employer. Client faced over six years in state prison then deportation. We settled the civil case for pennies on the dollar, which enabled us to work out a resolution that avoided the client serving time in state prison and deportation.

DUI / REDUCED CHARGE SAVED THERAPIST’S LICENSE
Client, a licensed marriage therapist, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI). A DUI conviction puts a professional therapist’s license and livelihood at risk because the California Board of Behavioral Science takes DUI convictions very seriously. The client crashed into another vehicle, rolled her SUV, and was hospitalized. Client’s BAC was nearly triple the legal limit. After probing discovery related to forensic bloodwork, mitigation evidence, and negotiations with the city attorney, we obtained a charge reduction to wet reckless, which, most importantly, protected the client’s therapist license from probation or suspension by the California Board of Behavioral Science.

Client charged with felony animal abuse among other criminal charges. Client faced state prison and deportation due to the felony animal abuse charge. We obtained a resolution that avoided the client being sentenced to time in jail and avoided deportation.

Client charged with multiple counts of sexual battery and assault. Client faced jail time, sexual registry, and deportation. Despite our best efforts, the head district attorney would not waiver on sexual registry for our client. Client elected to go to trial. Our client was found not guilty on all charges except one count that hung the jury. Our client was not convicted of sexual battery and assault, served no jail time, did not have to register as a sexual offender and avoided deportation.
Peeping Tom / DISMISSED/SAVED PHARMACY LICENSE
Client charged with peeking while loitering. After negotiations with the city attorney, client granted informal diversion and his case was dismissed. This result protected the client’s pharmacy license from adverse collateral consequences from the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Client charged with multiple counts of violating a civil harassment restraining order (CHRO). We found an error and filed a motion in the civil case to address it with the civil court. The judge in the civil case agreed and signed our order that stated the CHRO was unlawfully issued. This order was issued retroactively and predated the violation dates stated in the criminal complaint. We returned to the criminal court and filed a demurrer which after oral arguments, the criminal court granted. All criminal charges against our client were dismissed.

Client, a registered nurse, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI). A DUI conviction puts a nurse’s professional license and livelihood at risk because the nursing board takes DUI convictions very seriously. After providing mitigation evidence and negotiations with the head district attorney, we obtained a charge reduction to a dry reckless, which not only avoided DUI conditions, but most importantly, protected the client’s nursing license from reprimand or suspension by the board of registered nursing.

Domestic Violence Restraining Order / DISMISSED
Client retained our legal services to oppose a domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) filed against him by his wife. The DVRO also named the client’s infant daughter as a protected party, which prohibited all contact with his daughter. After an all morning DVRO hearing with many witnesses, the judge denied the wife’s DVRO and reinstated full parental rights to our client.

Client charged with four felony counts of resisting an executive officer, three felony counts of vandalism, and two misdemeanor counts of aggravated trespass.
